The SexBomb Girls dominated the Philippine showbiz industry long before social media could amplify a group’s popularity or a song’s virality. Legend has it that they gradually disappeared from the limelight—or as leader Rochelle Pangilinan once told the members, “Bigla lang tayo nawala.”

Although they did not step onstage for 15 years, new generations still came to know about SexBomb. You would hear of them in the streets, from relatives, or find them resurfacing unexpectedly in your own memory. I, for one, am as old as their debut album—and somehow, the fighting spirit of SexBomb was eventually instilled in me.

This sense of longevity was what we aimed to portray through the March 2026 cover, from the concept to the beauty direction.

The Beauty Direction for the SexBomb Girls

The history of dazzling showgirls can be traced back to the 1700s, and we continue to see them thrive—and command respect—today. This sense of timelessness—being classic yet modern at once—was reflected in their glam through variations of a single beauty direction. In this way, their individual expressions were honored, while they still appeared harmonious as a group.

For the March 2026 cover, the seven women wore different interpretations of slick, glossy hair—a nod to the art of performance. With their hair largely kept away from their faces, yet still playing a vital role in their overall glamour, the look reflects how the SexBomb Girls have grown to eliminate distractions and keep their vision clear—for the arts, for culture, and for their families.

This idea of interpreting a single style in different ways extended to their makeup. If there is one look that captures the essence of timeless beauty, it would be the smokey eye. For many, it has been passed down like an heirloom—taught by grandmothers to mothers, and by mothers to daughters—much like the word of mouth that has kept the spirit of SexBomb alive.

Each of the women worked with their respective glam teams, all of whom played a role in upholding the cohesive theme. We explored variations in shape, tone, and intensity: feathered and sharp eyeliners, silver and gold shimmers, as well as both blended and cut-crease techniques. This approach allowed us to create looks that complemented their individual features while still presenting a unified vision as a group.

On Rochelle Pangilinan

Luminous Skin

“Many people believe that Old Hollywood glam is only achievable with mestiza women,” said Drew Galleguez, “but we wanted to break that stereotype and show that morenas can be as radiant as the stars that we once watched in the old days.”

To enhance Rochelle’s glowing skin, Drew went in with the Rhode Peptide Glazing Fluid. The lightweight gel-serum is packed with skin-loving ingredients like niacinamide and peptides, made to boost radiance and hydrate deeply.

Rochelle is no stranger to sweating onstage, especially given the amount of energy they pour into their performances. To keep makeup intact under such circumstances—whether it’s stage or studio lights—Drew primes her skin with the Bobbi Brown Vitamin Enriched Face Base, which plumps the skin and improves the overall look of your base.

On Sunshine Garcia

A Bronze and Glowing Base

As part of SexBomb, Sunshine Garcia naturally values collaboration, and Grynne Bejarin attests to this. Grynne tells Preview, “She knows what she wants, but she also knows the importance of collaborating with us with regards to her looks.” She also describes her muse as “low maintenance or very chill,” noting that what you see is what you get with Sunshine. “That’s just how she is. What you see in her vlogs and interviews, siya yun—no pretensions.”

Sunshine’s bronze skin is certainly one of the things that make her stand out. On her, Grynne applies the Dior Forever Skin Glow, a long-wearing radiant foundation that’s resistant to heat, sweat, and humidity. She further enhances her skin tone with the Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin Sun-kissed Glow Bronzer for a soft-focus finish.

On Jopay Paguia

Contoured and Highlighted Features

“An effortless muse” is how Marben Talanay sees Jopay Paguia. “What I love about working with her is that she’s very intuitive—she understands the mood of the shoot right away and brings her own personality into it.” Marben adds that Jopay has a natural confidence that equips her with the ability to easily morph from soft to strong.

For the cover, Marben aimed towards “polished, modern, and timeless” visuals, opting for a look with “refined elegance.” He enhanced Jopay’s natural features by softly sculpting her face with the Makeup By Mario Soft Sculpt™ Shaping Stick. He then went in with the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand on the high points of her face to further bring out her glow.

On Mia Pangyarihan

Defined Brows

Mia Pangyarihan as a muse, according to Kenneth Gomez, is “so expressive, confident, and easy to work with.” She brings a vibrant energy in the makeup room—or in Kenneth’s words, she’s “mabait na makulit”—and that makes his creative work feel “natural and inspiring.”

Kenneth interprets the “radiant glamor” as a fierce look that a “boss madam” would have, and with brows playing a crucial role in framing the face and capturing a particular aesthetic, he paid much attention to defining them. To match Mia’s current hair color and to balance out her foxy eye look, Kenneth used an ash brown shade of Issy’s Brow Detailing Pen. With a micro-brush tip, it allows for precise yet natural-looking application.

On Cynthia Yapchiongco

Strong Eyes and Soft Blush

“Working with her is effortless because she is naturally gorgeous,” says Angel Tolentino on Cynthia Yapchiongco. “Cynthia carries the makeup with confidence, and this look truly comes alive on her face,” she adds.

The eyes serve as the key point of Cynthia’s look. Angel created depth with the use of gray tones, which also maintain a “cool, sophisticated feel.” With this, she built on dimension using the Master Mattes® Neutral Eyeshadow Palette from Makeup By Mario. She balanced the intensity of the eyes with a nude blush, specifically the Unlimited Blush from Kiko Milano.

On Aifha Medina

Cashmere Lips

Many of Aifha Medina’s makeup looks from the past decade were done by Rick Calderon. “She’s genuinely passionate,” he says about the performer. “You feel it in the way she sits in the chair—already in character.” Rick adds that, even with the years that have passed, Aifha’s energy has remained consistent. “As a muse, she’s fearless, and that makes my job exciting.”

Contrast, for him, was the key point of Aifha’s look, as seen in her dramatic eyes against her nearly bare skin. And while her elongated liner and full lashes did the talking, the look would not have been as striking if not for the balance achieved with her warm nude lips. “It gives it that editorial edge while keeping her beauty intact,” he says. “It’s bold, but it’s still her.” The primary product Rick used to enhance Aifha’s pout is the Cashmere Kiss Matte Lipstick from Absidy, which is infused with nourishing ingredients like shea butter and squalane to keep it feeling creamy and comfortable.

On Aira Bermudez

All Set!

Aira Bermudez, as the group’s “Dancing Warrior,” will not let anything stop her from giving her all—not accidents, and not smudged makeup. Bryan Bartolay understands this, which is why he sets her makeup to extend its wear. Aside from the cover, Bryan was also her official makeup artist for many of their recent shows. “Isa siya sa mga halimaw sa dance floor,” he tells Preview. “Sobrang sarap makatrabaho si ate Aira. Super kind, sweet, and humble,” and that makes their glam sessions fun each time.

To assure that her makeup stays intact no matter what, Bryan finishes with the Powder Melt Glass Setting Spray from One/Size. The hydrating mist sets and locks in makeup for up to 12 hours, while improving the skin’s radiance and glass-like appearance.
