Bea Alonzo has been in the industry for more than two decades, and within that time, her views on beauty have evolved alongside her. She has recently begun a new chapter in her life—and, in her own words, she’s “just getting started.”
On August 13, Bea graced Preview Conversations with Birch Tree as the face of the brand’s latest innovation, Adult Boost with Collagen. Joining Bea in the session, hosted by Janeena Chan, were Preview editor-in-chief Marj Ramos-Clemente, board-certified dermatologist Bea Chan-Benavidez, and brand marketing manager Bea Ballesca-Martinez, who shared their perspectives on strength and beauty.

Collagen is one of the highly sought ingredients in beauty and wellness for its ability to act like a biological glue that holds everything together—from the skin and joints to the muscles and ligaments. "It is literally the foundation to help you feel strong every single day," said Dr. Bea Chan-Benavidez. "It serves to provide structure and support, which keep our skin firm and resilient, provide mobility for our joints, keep our muscles flexible, and support our internal organs."
Starting around 25 years old, a person loses 1% of collagen every year. This makes it more challenging to maintain skin elasticity, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, relieve joint stiffness, and even support bone mineral density—which is why Birch Tree has introduced their latest innovation.
The Adult Boost with Collagen is equipped with 3,000 milligrams of GlowStrong formula, combining the benefits of milk and hydrolyzed collagen. The medical expert explained, "Hydrolyzed collagen basically consists of tiny peptides that serve as building blocks for our body to use to produce more collagen."
According to the board-certified dermatologist, having one glass of the beauty milk every day for at least 12 to 16 weeks will help enhance the skin's elasticity, hydration, moisture, and flexibility. Apart from collagen and calcium, the powdered milk is also equipped with vitamins C and D to further support bone strength and skin health. It's no wonder why Bea Alonzo swears by it.
Needless to say, health plays an important role in this new era of the actress’ life. In an exclusive interview with Preview, Bea tells us more.
Bea Alonzo Glows Strong in Her New Era
Every day is different, and there are times when a person might feel a little less than their best. For Bea, those moments often come when she’s “not feeling confident”—particularly when she’s unable to squeeze some exercise into her schedule. “The hormones that you release when you work out, you need that to start your day,” she said.
This also reflected what she shared during the discussion: “No matter how busy I get, I try to add some movement into my routine—maybe a short workout, a run, or a quick walk.” Apart from helping her stay physically fit, Bea added that movement also helps clear her mind.

It’s no secret that Bea has lived many lives, many of which have unfolded in the public eye. With that has come her fair share of stressful situations. “Stress still affects me,” she candidly revealed. “I try to be calm and be centered as much as I can.”
Having evolved through the years, Bea acknowledged that the ability to manage stress may also come with age. “Now, I can handle things better compared to how I did when I was in my twenties.” And because stress can also take a toll on the skin, she has become more mindful of supporting herself through proper nutrition, including milk and collagen—especially as she still has a long list of goals she hopes to achieve.

“I’ve become more intentional and more conscious about longevity,” said the ambassador at Preview Conversations, as she spoke about her plans to eventually start a family with her husband, Vincent Co. “I’d love to be able to have the energy to run around with my kids, and to play with them, and not just to watch from the sidelines.”
Bea highlighted that there is still so much to look forward to, both for her and from her. “I still have a lot I want to achieve personally, and even professionally. I have a lot in store. Being strong and being healthy is one priority that I always keep in mind.”
It’s this outlook that encourages her to “glow strong”—with strength and health as foundations for everything she still hopes to accomplish. After all, you can’t spell beautiful without Bea.
