Ferdinand Vincent Co is a name that carries weight in the Philippine business world. As the president of Puregold Price Club Inc., Vincent has led the family-owned retail giant through impressive growth and expansion.

But though he has long kept a low profile, recent rumors linking him to actress Bea Alonzo have thrust him into the public eye. Beyond the headlines, Vincent is manning a sprawling retail empire that spans hundreds of stores and multiple industries.

1. He’s the son of billionaires Lucio and Susan Co.
Vincent was born in July 1980, the son of retail moguls Lucio and Susan Co. The Co family has built a retail empire that extends beyond Puregold, with stakes in real estate, energy, and liquor distribution. As of 2024, Forbes estimates their combined net worth at $2.3 billion, cementing their position among the Philippines’ wealthiest families. 
Vincent is also supported by his sisters—Pamela, Katrina, and Camille—all of whom play integral roles in the family business, with Pamela serving as an Executive Director at Puregold.

2. He’s the president of Puregold.
Vincent took the reins as president of Puregold in 2015, after years of working his way up through the company. Since then, he’s overseen the supermarket chain’s expansion, with 2024 marking a record P10.4 billion in net income, according to PEP.
Puregold has expanded to over 600 retail outlets nationwide, including S&R Membership Shopping Warehouses. In addition to Puregold, Vincent serves on the boards of several affiliated companies, like Premier Wine and Spirits and Cosco Capital, the family’s holding company with a value of P43 billion.

3. He earned his degree at the University of Asia and the Pacific.
Vincent’s path to leadership began at the University of Asia and the Pacific, where he graduated with a degree in Entrepreneurial Management in 2003. According to PEP, he further honed his business acumen at Procter & Gamble’s Singapore branch in 2007 for his on-the-job training before returning to join Puregold’s board.

4. He is currently linked to Bea Alonzo.
Lately, Vincent has found himself in the spotlight, thanks in part to rumors linking him to actress Bea Alonzo. The speculation began after both shared photos from identical locations in Spain, sparking curiosity about a potential romance, according to Insider PH. The same outlet reported that the two spent time at the Co family’s vineyard in Andalucia, Spain, possibly at the Bodegas Williams & Humbert estate, which the family was said to acquire a 50% stake in 2022.
