AHC's The Pure Real Eye Cream for Face has been chosen by the Preview team as the Best Eye Cream of 2019. This and 24 other products were reviewed by 25 real girls for this year's Preview Girls' Choice Awards to see if they truly deserved their title. Ahead, writer Regina Tabora gives us her thoughts on the product:
The Product: AHC The Pure Real Eye Cream for Face
What It Is
This eye cream is said to be the most popular eye cream in Korea, with one tube being sold every three seconds. It's designed to be used both on the eyes and the entire face as a moisturizer, hence its name. It's formulated with 12 kinds of peptides, ceramides, and hyaluronic acid to nourish the skin and prevent signs of aging.

Current Condition
As someone who’s got perpetually dry and dehydrated skin (and genetic dark undereye circles), eye cream is something that I've never been without since I first started skincare around 10 years ago. Hydrating and moisturizing properties are obviously the first things I look for when it comes to any product in my routine, but I'm also obsessed with keeping my skin bright and clear, so products with "whitening" effects capture all my attention.
When I learned I was going to review the AHC eye cream, I had initial doubts—not even the "best-selling eye cream in Korea" tagline could sway me because I was worried how it could disrupt my routine. I've been using the same products for around three years now, and anything that could possibly ruin the effects of my magic niacinamide serum-water gel cream combo would be held at arm's length. But of course, I was also a teensy bit excited (it is a very popular eye cream, after all!). I read up on what other people were saying online and they all loved it, and their raves got to my head.
How I Used It
When I finally got my hands on the eye cream, I'm happy to say it really lived up to the hype. I've used it day and night for more than a week, and I won't go so far as to say it's perfect, but it comes pretty close.
To apply it, I dab a peppercorn-sized amount over each eye, blending it all over my eye area and brows. I then I rest my hands over my skin for a few seconds to warm the product up. The texture isn't too heavy that it disrupts my makeup but not too light either that it doesn't feel like it's doing anything; just the right creaminess!
The eye cream blended flawlessly above my serum and underneath my moisturizer and sunscreen, and gave me a smoother canvas for my concealer. But the real stunner is its whitening effect—after just one (!!) use, my perpetually gray undereye circles looked a smidge brighter, and they only continued to grow brighter throughout the time I tested it.

Final Thoughts
As I said, nothing's perfect. The only thing remotely wrong about this eye cream is its scent. Like most Korean products, this does have fragrance, but it's light and fresh enough to be ignored. As far as eye creams go, it's safe to say that I've found The One for me. It's so good I might even give my friends their own tubes for Christmas!
