Photo shoots and the inspiring images produced have always been intrinsic to fashion publications. It’s no secret that it takes a village—photographer, stylist, makeup artist, hair stylist, nail technician, model, various assistants—to make it all happen. But at a time when social distancing is imperative and mass gatherings not permitted, mounting a shoot seems like an impossibility.

Well, almost. 

Creatives are wont to come up with creative solutions, and today’s technology affords a multitude of possibilities if one is willing to tinker with tools and apps. Curious? Watch as model Siobhan Moylan, photographer Doc Marlon Pecjo, and stylist JM Gumatay take us through what doing a virtual photoshoot is like. Here’s a hint: It involved a video call, sending the clothes to the model, and remote styling and art direction.
