We're all counting the days until The Broken Marriage Vow finally hits our TV screens. The Dreamscape-produced show is a local adaptation of the British series Dr. Foster, popularly known for its Korean remake The World of the Married. The show announced its official cast last June, and it will be headline by Jodi Sta. Maria, Zanjoe Marudo, and Sue Ramirez.

Aside from the stars' performances, however, one aspect of the show we are definitely anticipating is the actors' wardrobe. According to the show's director and head of costume design Connie Macatuno, the cast will be wearing a mix of global brands and luxe Filipino brands. She aptly dubs this aesthetic as "Urban Pinoy."

"Gusto kong makita how we can wear our roots in a different way," she explains in an interview with ABS-CBN Entertainment. "This time we can wear the barong [or] the piña on a daily basis, we can wear the weaves of different places here in the philippines, and showcase the works of different designers that have global appeal."

From the clothes down to the accessories, the cast will be proudly flaunting designs from all over the country. There appears to be a specific focus on local weaves, handmade accessories, and traditional Filipino silhouettes.

Take a sneak peek at The Broken Marriage Vow cast's "urban pinoy" wardrobe below:

Jodi Sta. Maria as Dr. Jill Ilustre

Director Connie admits they paid close attention to building the look of Dr. Jill Ilustre. And for fans of the K-drama, there's no denying that the team retained the character's flair for structured pieces with a feminine touch, merely giving it a proudly Pinoy twist.

Black, leather, and denim might be dominating Zanjoe's wardrobe as David Ilustre. That said, we're looking forward to seeing him sport local weaves or a modern take on a barong!

From this behind-the-scenes shot, Jane Oineza's character might just be giving her Korean counterpart Min Hyun-Seo's fashion an edgy, streetwear-inspired spin.
