There’s no doubt about it: Seo Ye Ji is the most fashionable K-drama actress on TV right now. It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’s Ko Mun-yeong is not your average leading lady—and we are so NOT complaining! She’s headstrong, unapologetically different, and is not shy to come after what she wants. And to top it all off, she dresses like it’s nobody’s business. She certainly knows how to wield the power of fashion to express herself, and we love that about her!

“Ko Mun-yeong is extremely unique and really has a color of her own, so I tried to express a lot of those characteristics with what is seen from the outside—hair, makeup, costume, and all of that.” Seo Ye Ji says of her character during the virtual press conference hosted by Netflix. “I think there are going to be some things that my character wears that might even come across as a little odd to other people, or difficult to understand why she be would be wearing something like that. I tried to focus not on the character to be fashionable but to be somebody who expresses herself through what she wears. I think it's important to understand that what she wears is not something to show off but is actually something she puts on to defend herself.”

Four episodes in, and we’re already besotted with Ko Mun-yeong’s style. Below, a quick roundup of the fashionable ‘fits she has sported so far:

1. This scene introduced us to author Ko Mun-yeong, who scared off a little girl by telling her that “the witch is always the one that’s pretty.” Here, she showcased her intriguing personality with a black-and-white OOTD that’s anything but boring: a well-fitting tailored blazer paired with a tiered, chiffon maxi skirt punctuated by Jimmy Choo heels, Givenchy purse, dangle earrings, and bold red lipstick.

2. The drama’s leads met for the first time at a hospital, and Ko Mun-yeong was certainly one to make a lasting impression in a textured LBD with a peach tulle skirt peeking beneath its hems. It certainly didn’t hurt that she completed her mysterious lewk with Gianvito Rossi sandals, too.

3. Another LBD, another unforgettable fashion moment for Ko Mun-yeong! For her book signing event, she wore a mini suit dress with structured shoulders and pleated skirt, but what’s more notable was how she paired it with above-the-knee black hosiery and Bottega Veneta’s platform-heeled brogues that gave her legs for days.

4. If you think our unconventional heroine can only rock black outfits, think again! Ko Mun-yeong was every bit a blooming lady in this multi-colored, body-hugging floral frock that features a statement bow on one shoulder. Power!

5. This powerful, goosebump-inducing entrance was the perfect ending to Episode 2, where Ko Mun-yeong can be seen walking towards Moon Gang-tae (Kim Soo Hyun) in an iridescent purple dress and a pair of red stiletto pumps from Prada.

6. For her first day of class at OK Psychiatric Hospital, Ko Mun-yeong showed up in her statement-making Minju Kim blouse with billowy sleeves. She even cinched it on the waist with a Loewe obi belt. Looks like the new literature teacher is not here to play around!

7. Ko Mun-yeong has an obvious penchant for statement sleeves and we’re here for it! For another showstopping look, the actress was clad in a dotted Magda Butrym LBD, which she accented with a beret-like fascinator. And in case you missed this adorable detail, she also wore mismatched earrings!

8. In Episode 4, Ko Mun-yeong had a dramatic encounter not only with Moon Gang-tae but also with her dad. And if we didn’t know any better, we’d think she’s having the perfect day because she looked like a ray of sunshine in this white Zimmermann frock. She even complemented her bohemian look with a pair of gold hoop earrings! So fresh!
