Meet the Prada Dada, the New Slouchy Bag Fashion Girls Are Obsessing Over
Asian style stars can’t seem to get enough of it!

Published on Nov 11, 2025
Slouchy bags are still all the rage well into 2025. Luxury houses continue to keep the trend alive, unveiling new interpretations season after season.
It’s easy to see why the appeal endures—these soft, unstructured silhouettes are both elegant and effortless, refined yet practical. Among this year’s standout introductions, Prada’s take on the ever-growing trend perfectly captures just that.
Known for its ethos of subversive, utilitarian sophistication, Prada has recently expanded its repertoire of buckle-detailed bags—from the Buckle Tote and east-west Bonnie to the Buckle Bucket and a refreshed Re-Edition line. The newest piece to join the family is the Dada bag, first revealed during the Fall/Winter 2025 womenswear runway in Milan.
The design features a supple rectangular shape, cinched with a slender belt that wraps around the body, creating a softly gathered, drape-like detail. In many ways, the bag is minimal, functional, and distinctly Prada.
Read on to discover what makes the Dada bag unique—and how some of Asia’s most stylish names have been carrying it.
What is the Prada Dada Bag?
The Dada bag made its debut on Prada’s Fall/Winter 2025 womenswear presentation during Milan Fashion Week last February. Under the direction of Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons, the collection explored femininity as something fluid and ever-changing, where structure meets spontaneity, and contrasts form new expressions of beauty.
That concept takes shape in the Dada bag. With its rounded boxy form and cinched leather folds, it embodies the tension between restraint and ease. A slim belt gathers the body into soft drapes and extends into two elongated handles. The act of cinching—a recurring motif in Prada’s design language—becomes both functional and ornamental.
Each bag is meticulously handcrafted in Italy from lambskin nappa leather. Artisans manually cut every panel to achieve its precise rectangular shape before assembling the hardware—magnetic closure, buckle, and loops—with exacting attention to balance and durability.
In true Prada fashion, branding is kept subtle: the signature triangle logo is either embossed or printed near the base, letting the silhouette and leather take center stage. Clean stitching, an uncluttered interior, and understated metal fittings all reflect the house’s devotion to timeless luxury.

The Dada bag draws its name from the Dada art movement of the early 20th century—a creative rebellion that rejected logic and embraced nonsensical ideas through collages, performances, and the use of photomontages. Dadaists aimed to shock the public and challenged all traditional conventions of art, often calling their own work "anti-art".
Much like the movement, the bag challenges conventions by reimagining what elegance can look like when rigid structures are injected with a form of fluidity.
How Much Does the Prada Dada Bag Cost?
The bag comes in a cohesive palette of neutrals—black, sand beige, powder pink, ivory, and granite grey. With a 32 cm handle drop, it rests comfortably on the shoulder, while the magnetic closure allows easy access. Inside, a central pocket keeps smaller items neatly in place.
At 18.5 cm tall, 25 cm wide, and 11.5 cm deep, the Dada is compact yet roomy enough for daily essentials. Its soft leather body adjusts easily to what you need to carry, while the belt keeps its silhouette polished. It’s the kind of bag that moves seamlessly from weekday commutes to weekend strolls.
Retailing at €2,400 (around P162,146.40), the Dada sits squarely in Prada’s tradition of craftsmanship—functional, versatile, and built to last.
Where to Shop the Prada Dada Bag in the Philippines
In the Philippines, the Dada bag is available at Prada Greenbelt 4 in Makati and The Shoppes at Solaire in Parañaque. It’s also listed on the brand’s official website, prada.com, for those who prefer to shop online.
