Park Bo Gum may have already enlisted in the navy last August 31, but he didn't forget to leave us with a precious parting gift: Record of Youth is now streaming on Netflix—and, we dare say, it’s the new fashionable K-drama we’re utterly obsessed with!
Only two episodes in and our screens have already been blessed with numerous fashion shows headlined by Park Bo Gum, who himself plays a model in the show. His character, Sa Hye Jun, dreams of making it as an actor but comes from an underprivileged family that struggles to make ends meet. Mind you, though—his sartorial choices are anything but underwhelming. On the first episode alone, he’s spotted lugging around a $3550 designer bag. *pretends to be shocked* (Of course, we all know it’s not the first time a financially challenged character has had an expensive wardrobe in a K-drama. We even listed down some of the most notable ones here.)
Sa Hye Jun, a top model who naturally knows his designers, complemented his Maison Margiela blazer with Loewe’s iconic Puzzle bag to stow his work essentials in—a smart choice, we must say! Designed by Jonathan Anderson, the Puzzle bag was born in June 2014 and was first introduced at the Men’s Spring/Summer 2015 collection presentation in Paris Fashion Week. It has since become available as part of women’s collections, too. Loved for its modern cuboid silhouette, the Puzzle bag is made with 41 different leathers, nine textile pieces, 45 cloth armors, with high-quality metallics and zippers to boot. They’re handsewn by Loewe artisans with so much attention to detail, and each bag painstakingly takes 530 minutes or nearly nine hours to produce.

The Loewe Puzzle featured in the show comes in calfskin and suede and is rendered in black/tan colorway. It retails for P188,600 on the Loewe website. The question is: Would you shell out this much to cop the same exact bag Park Bo Gum wore on Record of Youth?
