That said, this year's theme takes a retrospective look into our Filipino design heritage with an onward and modern interpretation to ride today's time and lifestyle. "There has been a surge of nostalgia and reimagining of iconic and heritage design pieces in recent years. It is through this yearning for creative rebirth that we highlight the inherent beauty and distinct creativity of Filipino culture,” says Pauline Suaco-Juan, Executive Director of the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM).
