ICYMI, Kathryn Bernardo just released a new vlog on her YouTube channel and this recent episode is by far one of our favorites. Why? Because she finally gave us a peek of her jaw-dropping designer shoe collection!
Knowing how the actress usually favors a classic style with an edgy twist, it's no surprise that her picks range from practical heels, to comfy flats, to a few statement-making pieces. We love how well-rounded and versatile her collection is, TBH! So if you're planning to finally invest in your own pair of designer shoes, we highly suggest you take a page from her favorites. 1. Christian Louboutin's Lady Peep

The Lady Peep is a classic among Christian Louboutin's iconic selection of red-soled stilettos, and Kathryn loves this style so much that she has not just one, not even two, but three pairs in different colors—she has it in nude, white, and black! Among all of them, the actress refers to the nude version as her "most used" pair. She shared, "I got this when I was 18. I'm turning 25 now and I'm still using this so I feel like this one is the most used and pinaka practical na nabili kong heels." (FYI, it's also Heart Evangelista's ultimate favorite!)
The brand has since renamed the shoe New Very Privé, featuring a "curved décolleté [that] gently encases the foot, plunging down to a revealing toe cleavage that finishes in a sensual peep toe."
2. Stuart Weitzman's The Nudist Sandal

Speaking of iconic heels, another favorite of Kathryn is also a go-to for many celebrities around the world: The Nudist Sandal. It's known for its super sleek heel and slim straps, making it seem as if you're barely wearing anything, hence the name. And the best part? It's super comfortable! Kathryn has it in gold and black, and she especially loves wearing it when she needs to be able to move around freely or stand for hours. She said, "Usually I wear this pair every time I have events so pag naka gown ako or medyo formal. I like this because it's very comfy but still pretty."
3. Gucci's Brixton Loafers

"I like this because this is a very classic style from Gucci," the actress said of her favorite pair of designer flats. And true enough, the shoe boasts of the Italian luxury fashion house's iconic Horsebit detail that's symbolic to its history. These loafers were also designed to be worn with the heel folded down as a slipper or up as a loafer, so talk about versatility! "I feel like good buy siya because hindi siya naluluma. Like, 10 years from now pwede ko pa to masuot and it's super comfortable," Kathryn noted.
4. Chanel's Red Ballerina Flats

Kathryn's vlog listed down two different shoe styles from Chanel as her favorites (the other one's a pair of black and white brogues), but this one's a little extra precious because it was a gift from her reel- and real-life boyfriend Daniel Padilla. "This pair is very important [for me]. Very sentimental ako na tao so hindi ko siya masyadong sinusuot kasi ayoko siyang magasgas—patent [leather] siya so gasgasin," Kathryn shared, revealing that she once wore it to go hiking in San Francisco and it got a few scratches after that so it's something she really regrets.
She also bought another pair of the same style in the brand's famous black and nude cap-toe colorway, which she finds easier to wear with most of her outfits.
5. Christian Louboutin's Follies Strass

Commonly revered as a bridal shoe, the statement pair Kathryn couldn't help raving about was Christian Louboutin's Follies Strass pumps. The actress said, "This I think is my favorite from Christian Louboutin. I feel like ako si Cinderella every time I wear this because it's so pretty." It's made with mesh, sparkly crystal studs, and glittery leather—it truly looks like the stuff of fairytales!
Another thing to note though is how rare it is. Kath herself had a hard time scoring a pair. She recalled, "I like it so much kasi hindi siya ganon kadaling hanapin, and I remember pumunta ko sa isang branch tapos wala 'to, and then pumunta ko sa isang branch tapos wala pa rin. And then nakita siguro nila na gusto ko talaga yung pair so in-order pa nila sa ibang branch na Christian Louboutin store and then binalikan ko pa the next day. Worth it naman!"
