Judy Ann Santos Shares Why She Bought a Vintage Birkin from Sharon Cuneta

Among many things, Sharon Cuneta has earned a reputation as a style-savvy lady. Any bag enthusiast could easily be envious over her expansive wardrobe, which houses a covetable selection of designer pieces. In fact, someone who's greatly admired her collection is her fellow actress Judy Ann Santos.

During a recent derma visit, Judy Ann spilled the details on her arm candy of the day, which was a vintage piece she bought off of the Megastar herself.

In a chat with Dr. Aivee Teo, Judy Ann recalled how her blue-hued Shoulder Birkin came into her possession through Sharon. Even before she had children, she already had her eyes on one of the Megastar's luxury totes, which was reason enough for her to make the splurge.

"Nag-purge 'din siya ng mga Birkins niya... May mga Hermes Birkin siya na halos parang dalawa-dalawa," she shared. "Nag-buy na ako kasi gusto ko meron akong bag na pinagmay-ari ni Ate Sharon."

The sentimental value behind the bag made it one of Judy Ann's most prized purchases, so much so that she attests she'll never let go of it. Aside from the fact that it was once worn by Sharon herself, the actress also doesn't regret the purchase given that the Shoulder Birkin is back in style after its recent re-issue.

As Judy Ann and Dr. Aivee stated, the Shoulder Birkin is reclaiming its seat as the bag du jour. First crafted by Jean Paul Gaultier in the early 2000s, the model fuses the luxe essence of a Birkin with a more wearable shape. While it wasn't revealed how much Judy Ann paid for her secondhand piece—she did joke that she paid for it in installments, though—her exact blue piece goes for over P600,000 on the resale market.
