Janine Gutierrez adds another milestone to her career with a prestigious win. On Sunday, March 23, the 35-year-old actress attended the 38th PMPC Star Awards, where she received the Best Supporting Actress title for her role as Iris in Lavender Fields.
In an Instagram post, Janine expressed gratitude to everyone who made her victory possible. From the show’s crew to her trusted glam team, she made it a point to acknowledge the people who helped her bring Iris’ character to life.
Notably, Janine also dedicated the award to her late manager, Leo Dominguez, who passed away in May 2024. "The Star Awards ran late and I got this award past 12 midnight just in time for Tito Leo's birthday. Thank you for getting me here, Tito. This one's for you," she wrote in a heartfelt tribute.

For the occasion, Janine's team thoughtfully constructed a look befitting the significance of the event. In a brief interview with Preview, stylist MJ Benitez shared the inspiration behind her red carpet ensemble. “A special night calls for a special look—being nominated for Best Drama Supporting Actress is already such a huge honor, so we really wanted her outfit to reflect a celebratory mood,” she explained.
That night, Janine accepted her award in an understated, silver-embellished white frock by Patty Ang. "This gown from Patty Ang’s F/W runway collection, with its intricately embellished bodice and flowy, sheer skirt, definitely fit the bill," MJ told Preview.
The runway piece was indeed a sophisticated sight, a sculptural number that weaved the balance between structure and fluidity. Its form-fitting bodice, featuring a drop-waist silhouette and asymmetrical hem, was tastefully adorned with silver rhinestones. A sweeping, airy skirt softened the ornate detailing, bringing a sense of ease to the ensemble.
