It's the bag of the moment!

Okay, so the "side packs" trend initiated by Chanel wasn't really practical for everyday use, but the multi-pochette trend of today? We're all heart eyes for it! For the unaware, a pochette is an envelope-shaped bag, almost like a bigger version of a baguette one. The design has been around for quite some time now. It even reached peak popularity in the early 2000s, but recently, it's been experiencing an undeniable revival.

Case in point, Louis Vuitton's Multi Pochette handbag was catapulted into fame late last year and continues to be the current It bag of fashion folk all over the world. Another bag which followed suit was Prada's own version of the multi pochette, a.k.a. the Bandoliera Tessuto Saffiano, in its iconic nylon fabric, which was actually released way back in 2005. The re-editions include black, nude, and red colorways. What makes these hyped-up handbags so modern is its fanny pack-like design that makes it easy to dress up or dress down. Take some cues from these influencers below:

1. Laureen Uy wears her streetwear-inspired beachwear with her Prada Multi Pochette.

If you think that beach looks don't provide much leeway for creativity, let Laureen's streetwear-inspired look convince you otherwise. The bag, the sunglasses, and the bucket hat all add oomph to an already fabulous red bikini and bermuda shorts outfit.

2. Camille Co styles devises her own multi pochette look by wearing both the Louis Vuitton Trunk Clutch and the Boite Chapeau Necklace

Who says you need to buy only one handbag to nail the multi pochette look? Camille Co creatively layered the LV Trunk Clutch with a mini hatbox, the Boite Chapeau Necklace, for her monogrammed OOTDs. You can achieve the same effect by pairing a chained coin purse with a baguette sling bag!

In this ensemble, Camille resorts to flesh-toned layers to let the bag combo stand out. Did you notice the wide belt she wore to cinch her blazer, and not her trench coat? Genius.

3. Renee de Guzman opts for a monochromatic look to match her multi pochette bag for the perfect on-the-go look.

For those who gravitate towards clean, classic looks, you may be thinking that Prada's Multi Pochette is too utilitarian for your taste, but let Renee prove otherwise. Below, she simply threw on her handy bag on top of a sleek monochromatic black look that can be worn in the mall and on the street. To dress it up, simply switch out the black denim jeans for trousers.

4. Ashley Sandrine Yap elevates her nude turtleneck with the Prada Multi Pochette bag.

Here's another simple travel OOTD! Wear your turtlenecks with multi-pochette bags instead of shoulder bags. By having a bag across your chest, it breaks up the space of a monotonous outfit to add dimension.

5. Anna Cay makes a case for an all-white everyday look punctuated by an LV Multi Pochette.

The beauty of the multi-pochette is definitely in its convenience. You can easily store all your essentials, making it easier to run errands and hop around the city. Here, beauty vlogger Anna Cay steps out of her car (perhaps after a run to the mall?) in white shorts and a T-shirt, with the multi-pochette slung casually on top.
