Heart Evangelista has officially said goodbye to local brand Kamiseta as its creative director. The actress and style star took to Instagram to announce the news, “After two years, I'm officially signing off as @kamisetaph’s Creative Director. I will always cherish the memories I had with the team and I will forever hold these close to my heart.”
Heart admits that the decision did not come easy and that her experience as the homegrown fashion brand’s creative director will remain unforgettable. She adds, “I am so grateful to have been involved in the inner workings of the brand and to be surrounded by such talented and passionate people who helped me grow so much as a person and as an artist. Making this decision was definitely not easy, but one thing is for sure, my time with the brand has forever changed my life.”
“To my Kamiseta family, thank you for letting me be a part of this influential brand. Most of all, thank you for trusting my craft. It’s not every day I get to work with art and clothing—two of the things I’m deeply passionate about! Looking forward to a new beginning!”
Heart was formally announced as the creative director of Kamiseta in March 2019 and she has since helmed the local clothing brand’s product design and development. The label also launched their first-ever collaboration with the actress, dubbed the Love Marie x Kamiseta collection.
Love Marie x Kamiseta featured a bevy of skirts, dresses, tops and scarves that are mostly rendered in fun, colorful prints that showcased Heart’s signature artwork. The actress often wore the pieces herself and incorporated them as part of her OOTDs. Other notable celebrities spotted wearing the collection include Jinkee Pacquiao.
