The Gucci Jackie Flap Is Becoming the Heartthrob’s New Go-To Bag
A Primavera original, the slouchy shoulder bag is the rebellious younger brother of the classic Jackie 1961.

The Demna-fication of Gucci shows no signs of slowing down.
Since assuming the role of creative director, the Georgian designer has liberally redefined and refreshed what “Gucci-ness” entails. Under his direction, the maison has turned inward, revisiting its history and the design codes closely associated with it.
For the Fall/Winter 2026 season, Gucci stages Primavera, a retrospective exploration of what true luxury means to the heritage house. For the collection, Demna also remixed some of the brand’s most iconic designs, including the perennially chic Jackie 1961 bag. Now, she introduces sartorialists to her younger, spunkier brother: the Jackie Flap.
Meet the Gucci Jackie Flap
Think of the Jackie Flap as the classic Jackie if it got a little rough around the edges—in the best possible way. Still oozing with signature sprezzatura, the bag reinterprets its predecessor’s hobo silhouette and piston hardware with a more nonchalant attitude. As its name suggests, it opens through a front flap rather than a zipper and can be worn as a shoulder bag or crossbody, depending on the strap length.
At Primavera—which, FYI, ironically translates to “spring”—the Jackie Flap was integrated into a sartorial parade defined by equal parts sensuality and refined tailoring. Designs from the collection were “driven by rigorous product development that has allowed the House to create the ultimate seamless garments and pieces cut as close as possible to the body, a quintessentially Gucci sensibility.”
For many fashion observers, the showcase was a visual tribute to Tom Ford’s era at the helm of Gucci. In this regard, much of Primavera can be imagined as ideal attire for ’90s-esque soirées and nights out.
How Much Is the Gucci Jackie Flap?
The Jackie Flap leans toward menswear, designed to move through the modern gent’s agenda with ease. Measuring 17 inches wide, 11.4 inches tall, and 2 inches deep, the bag comfortably fits gadgets, wallets, and any grooming essentials you might need on hand. Thanks to its adjustable strap, you can carry it by hand, rest it on your shoulder, or sling it across your body.
The soft suede iteration is priced at approximately P215,000, while the monogram canvas version retails for around P212,000. The most expensive of the three fabrications, the grainy leather style comes with an estimated price tag of P234,000.

The Jackie Flap aligns seamlessly with Kyle Echarri's devil-may-care style. No stranger to head-to-toe black, the actor uses the bag to add a chic dose of texture to his monochromatic look.
For Lee Know of Stray Kids, a bit of logomania goes a long way. His monogrammed Jackie Flap does much of the talking against an otherwise grayscale ’fit.
As an official ambassador for the maison, Thai actor Gulf Kanawut demonstrates the Jackie Flap’s versatility. The classic black iteration works just as easily with a fitted tee-and-jeans combo as it does with a more polished trench coat look.
Gulf's fellow heartthrobs from Thailand have also displayed the versatile and sleek qualities of the Jackie Flap. His fellow ambassador Billkin, Sky Wongravee, and Nani Hirunkit can vouch for the logo-tastic iteration, while boys' love team Perth Tanapon and Santa Pongsapak happily opt for the fuss-free black colorway.
