Given its record-breaking success on Netflix, it was inevitable that Wednesday Addams would soon become a style icon herself. Jenna Ortega's "soft goth" look—think grunge, but toned down and a lot less emo than your proverbial goth girl—was definitely a mood, so we figured it's only a matter of time before we see it recreated on our Instagram feeds.
Lo and behold, our local Gen Z stars have drawn first blood, peppering our timelines with their own stylish takes on the soft goth aesthetic. See their Wednesday-inspired OOTDs below!
1. Andrea Brillantes
"Wednesday Addams on a Wednesday," the actress captioned one of her Dubai OOTDs: a plaid blazer and high-waist skirt set. Giving her look a soft goth twist, Blythe wore a no-nonsense black camisole underneath, toted around a Prada Cleo handbag, and slipped into some black boots. Of course, she didn't forget the iconic character's signature pigtail braids!
2. Barbie Imperial
"I wanna be like Wednesday," Barbie declared in her OOTD's caption—and we think she understood the assignment! The actress had the same idea: a predominantly black 'fit + a designer bag + a pair of black leather boots. Albeit she didn't literally recreate Wednesday's look, she totally captured the essence of soft goth aesthetic.
3. Cassy Legaspi
While Cassy didn't directly claim to be channeling her inner Wednesday in this OOTD, the Gen Z actress did reveal that her go-to look is "all black." We're obsessed with her boxy jacket from Penshoppe and Monolith loafers from Prada! Fun fact: Did you know that Jenna Ortega wore an almost identical pair of black shoes in the series Wednesday? Cute!
