Enchong Dee has made a name for himself as one of today's premier actors, but it was only recently when people started applauding his sartorial taste. Last September 2 at the Preview Ball 2025, he was recognized as one of the year's Best Dressed honorees, an honor he didn't take lightly.
Enchong will be the first to tell you that it required quite some time for his style to develop, especially with the rigors of his profession. In a celebratory Instagram post, he reflected on what it took for him to embrace the wonders of dressing up.
Enchong Dee's Personal Style Journey
A few hours after accepting his Best Dressed trophy, Enchong chronicled his best outfits from the past 11 months. He shared that there were always naysayers whenever he tried to dress up, to the point that it became “discouraging” to even try. However, two years ago, he finally stopped caring and posted his first few 'fit checks on TikTok, which eventually went viral.
"I collaborated with the best in the industry and allowed myself to try different [styles] until I found my confidence again," he wrote, citing the different Filipino designers he's worked with—namely, Boom Sason, Vina Romero, Ino Caluza of Viktor, RJ Santos of Randolf, Nicolo, Neric Beltran, Noble Creations, Aandrei David, and M Barretto.
"It doesn't matter kung mahal o mura 'yung suot mo. Basta pinaghirapan mo at confident ka sa suot mo, you do you!" he continues, expressing gratitude to his supporters. The sentiment was reflected in his Best Dressed interview, where he acknowledged how "freeing it is to dress up for yourself.” He also shared how his perspective on fashion has evolved, particularly when it comes to his relationship with designers.
"Before, it was just like, ‘Okay, I’m the designer. I’m going to design the clothes for you. You wear it, walk the red carpet, and that’s it,'" he narrates. Nowadays, the actor and host takes a more hands-on approach and is open to providing his own input. "It’s not one-size-fits-all," he states. "Designers really appreciate it when you have your own opinions and suggestions towards the things that you wear."

Congratulations again on your well-deserved recognition, Enchong! You do you!
