Donny Pangilinan Rocks a Relaxed, Deconstructed Suit at the Preview Ball 2026

Donny Pangilinan was dressed to the nines for a sartorial night out at this year’s Preview Ball. Our August cover star and Best Dressed 2026 honoree arrived in a distinctly Donny-coded take on deconstructed formalwear.

Styled by John Lozano, the actor-entrepreneur wore an ensemble fresh off Jerome Lorico’s MNL Fashion Week showcase, which debuted on the runway just days earlier.

On the second day of MNL Fashion Week 2026, held last September 4, the BFFD 2026 awardee unveiled his comeback presentation, tited “Lux et Sal” (light and salt). Across the 51-piece collection, Jerome demonstrated his command of fabric manipulation and precise construction. Structured silhouettes were softened through draping and intentionally loose proportions, as is the case on this suit worn by Donny.

Layered over a clean black tank top, the pinstriped suit features wide, loosely constructed lapels that fall asymmetrically across the torso. Despite its oversized proportions, the tailoring remains precise, evident in the crisply cut collar and calculated deconstruction of the lapels.

Breaking up the otherwise achromatic ensemble, Donny slipped into a pair of oxblood-hued loafers from Saint Laurent. The rich tone adds a subtle hit of color without disrupting the look’s restrained palette.

Elsewhere, the styling stays pared back to complement the suit’s avant-garde silhouette. Donny’s hair is swept to the side, while his grooming remains clean and understated, allowing the unconventional tailoring to take focus.
