Charlotte York Wore a Filipina Designer for Her Birthday Party on "And Just Like That"

Charlotte York doesn’t do birthdays halfway—especially not in And Just Like That. 

The birthday party—thrown by Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) in her Gramercy Park home—may have carried some dramatic weight, but Charlotte’s ensemble was all lightness and grace. Her dress, a standout piece from Monique Lhuillier’s Fall 2023 collection, was crafted in Pink Rose lace and designed with a full, flouncy skirt and a softly sculpted sweetheart neckline.

The internal boning gave the bodice a sculpted fit, while a horsehair underlayer added gentle volume to the skirt. Finished with a scalloped hem, the dress blended crisp structure with delicate lace and a soft, flowing shape.

This wasn’t simply another outfit off the costume rack, as actress Kristin Davis herself asked for it. In a behind-the-scenes video shared on Monique Lhuillier’s Instagram, Kristin is seen greeting the dress with visible joy: “Oh my God, it’s here, it’s so beautiful… What a surprise! It’s a beautiful thing.” The actress later shared, “We chose this dress for Charlotte because you have to go big for your birthday!”

Costume designers Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago gave fans another glimpse behind the curtain with a fitting photo. “@iamkristindavis trying on the @moniquelhuillier dress she requested for her birthday party scene,” the caption read.

And Monique Lhuillier isn’t the only Filipino designer to make an appearance this season. In an earlier episode, Carrie Bradshaw was spotted carrying a multicolored clutch by RAFE, the New York-based label by Philippine-born designer Rafe Totengco.
