This Filipino Designer's Clutch Was Just Featured in "And Just Like That"

Are you all caught up with the newest season of And Just Like That?

In Season 3 of the Sex and the City reboot, the plot follows Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), now in her 50s, as she navigates a long-distance romance with Aidan (John Corbett) while reflecting on her career, aging, evolving friendships, and dating as a middle-aged woman.

In episode two, in particular, Carrie finds herself decoding the tone behind Aidan’s text messages. After she sends him a photo of a coffee table she’s considering, he curtly responds with a thumbs-down emoji. Naturally, in true SATC fashion, Carrie brings up the matter with her girlfriends, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Seema (Sarita Choudhury), over brunch.

Rafé Totengco’s Clutch Makes an Appearance in "And Just Like That" S3 E2

In the scene, Carrie dons a vibrant orange kaftan top, layered with diamond studs, stacked rings, and her signature flowing blonde hair. Also in frame was her striking purse of choice: a multicolor clutch fully lined with sequins all over its exterior.

Distinguished by its soft-rounded silhouette, the bag in question is none other than the AYA Frame Clutch from RAFE— a label founded by Philippine-born, New York-based designer Rafé Totengco. On Facebook, the designer shared his excitement: “Obviously, I’m over the moon,” he gushed in the caption.

For those unfamiliar, Rafé launched RAFE New York in 1997, starting with a modest collection of belts, evening bags, and clutches. The brand would later earn acclaim for its intricate shell-inlay minaudières, which have since become a signature element of his design DNA.

Today, pieces from the label—including various versions of the AYA Frame Clutch—are available via the brand’s official website and Neiman Marcus, one of the United States’ premier luxury department stores. While the exact model seen in And Just Like That isn’t currently listed online, a similar red style retails for $485 (approximately PHP 27,600).
