The Blogger Besties were without a doubt the standout squad at the Britney Spears concert last night. Instead of dancing the night away in the pop star's iconic looks, they decided to opt for something different. The six girls brought the house down and came in matching swimsuits!
How exactly did they pull it off? We asked Camille Co and Laureen Uy to find out.
"We were thinking of going in costumes at first," says Camille. "As the resident designer, it would've been me who'd be tasked to make them but since all of us are so busy and swamped with work, we decided to go for a simpler concept."
The blogger adds, "I just randomly came across a website selling a Britney reference shirt and got the idea from that. I thought, why not print our favorite Britney lines in matching onesies? Everyone was game so we went for it!" And from there, all six got their own swimmies from Georgina Sasha. "We knew they could execute our idea well since customized swimmies is one of its specialties," explains Camille.
According to the store's owner, the swimsuits took around a week to produce. Similar orders would take the same amount of time as well, since they have the suits in different sizes already.
But why swimsuits? "We wanted a piece of clothing that can easily be styled in different ways," Laureen answers. "Since pink really isn't my usual color, I just paired mine with edgier pieces." Because what better way to show off their individual styles than with a versatile key piece?
About those Britney lyrics, Camille confirms that everyone indeed chose her own iconic line to wear. (Nicole Andersson's "Work, B**ch" and Kryz Uy's "I'm not that innocent" are definitely our top faves!)
