Lisa Manoban may have risen to stardom as a member of the Korea-based girl group Blackpink, but she has always been vocal and proud of her Thai roots. In fact, she was named an Amazing Thailand Ambassador by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, consistently using her influence to promote her homeland.
She recently made headlines in relation to the country once again—but this time, it’s about fashion and politics. Thai Deputy Prime Minister Thamanat Prompow was spotted wearing the same puffer jacket Lisa once wore—and it comes with a steep price tag.

Twinning—intentional or not—is often celebrated in fashion. The conversation shifts, however, when it involves thousands of dollars and key political figures. The jacket is part of a three-way collaboration between Nike, Nocta, and Chrome Hearts, and it reportedly retails for a staggering $39,000, or approximately 2.2 million.

For the uninitiated, Nocta is the Nike sub-label helmed by Canadian rapper Drake. Meanwhile, Chrome Hearts is a Los Angeles–based luxury brand known for its gothic-leaning aesthetic and cult following. The collection, launched in December 2025, is said to be the most expensive and exclusive release in the history of the Nike x Nocta line.

The standout puffer jacket boasts artisanal details, featuring a “Realtree” camouflage pattern made of Chrome Hearts’ iconic crosses, meticulously etched and embossed into premium Italian leather. It marries streetwear with opulence, using sterling silver dagger zippers and cross-laden buttons for hardware.
From this centerpiece alone, it’s easy to tell that the ultra-limited capsule is where technical sportswear and gothic luxury meet. Hypebeast reported that the coveted high-end piece is available “only via private ‘friends and family’ channels and select Chrome Hearts flagship locations.”

It was unsurprising to see Lisa sport the jacket—and its matching pants—during her ski holiday, given her strong presence in the music and fashion industries. However, for the Thai Deputy Prime Minister who wore it to see the northern lights in Finland, it might not be the best look.

Netizens React to Thamanat Prompow’s Luxurious Jacket
According to Asia One, the photo of Thamanat was uploaded to Facebook on February 22. While it can no longer be found, it reportedly garnered over 62,000 reactions and 3,500 comments.
Netizens flocked to the news sites that reported on the twinning incident, raising concerns of their own. Many questioned how he could afford such a piece, given the expected salary of a public servant. Others pointed to the ongoing tensions between Thailand and Cambodia, arguing that wearing an ultra-luxurious item at such a time felt, at best, tone-deaf.
