On Wednesday, May 6, P-pop sensation BINI graced the Philippine Senate's plenary hall. Fresh from their landmark debut at Coachella, the eight-member act was formally honored for elevating Filipino music on the international stage.
Under Resolution No. 370, authored by Sen. Bam Aquino, the upper house commended BINI for bringing pride and recognition to the Philippines while championing OPM (Original Pilipino Music) worldwide. Legislators cited their 10-song setlist, which incorporated traditional elements such as the salakot in their attire, as well as the members’ use of their native languages when introducing themselves.
In his address, Senator Aquino emphasized how the group’s breakthrough Coachella appearance reflects the State’s commitment to supporting and developing the creative industries as engines of innovation, employment, and inclusive growth.
“For the first time, a Filipino group performed at one of the largest and most famous music festivals in the world. We can say that this success is a reflection of Filipino talent and skill on the global stage,” he stated in his speech.

Styled by their visual director Ica Villanueva, the group donned ensembles from Peach’s latest Bench Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2026 collection, alongside pieces presented during his TernoCon 2025 showcase.
