ICYMI, Laufey was in town for the Manila leg of her “A Matter of Time” tour. For three consecutive evenings, the Icelandic-Chinese jazz singer staged sold-out shows at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
On the second night, held last May 27, Laufey surprised fans with a special appearance by P-Pop girl group BINI. “I feel like I don’t want to sing this song alone today,” the artist teased before welcoming the eight-member act onstage for a joint rendition of her hit track “From the Start.”

For the occasion, all eight members appeared in full looks by Filipina designer Vania Romoff. Stylist and visual director Ica Villanueva assembled a lineup of ensembles featuring selections from the designer’s latest collections, alongside pieces pulled from her archives.

Rendered in an earthy mix of greens, browns, and ivory, the group’s wardrobe captured elements long associated with Vania’s aesthetic: romantic and feminine silhouettes expressed through fluid draping, soft ruching, and diaphanous fabrics.
The subdued palette, paired with silk, satin, and chiffon fabrics in muted neutrals and pastel tones, complemented the evening filled with jazz-pop at Laufey’s Manila concert.
