If there’s anything we truly admire about Bela Padilla, it’s her creativity—which is very evident from her artistic pursuits to her sartorial choices. That said, it comes as no surprise that she attended the premiere night of her directorial debut movie 366 looking absolutely fabulous while donning a Regency-inspired corset gown reminiscent of Jane Austen romances.
Working with her long-time stylist Adrianne Concepcion, Bela paid homage to the era of elegance with a Russel Cordero bustier dress rendered in romantic lace and floral appliques. Her retro-inspired makeup courtesy of Florence Vergara complemented her chic frock, while her wavy loose tresses framed her fresh face. Her choice of accessories—a gleaming capiz purse and pointy-toed pumps—stayed true to her monochromatic look.
Her date for the evening, aka her non-showbiz beau Norman Bay, looked equally cool in a casually dapper brown suit with a white shirt underneath.
Starring alongside Zanjoe Marudo and JC Santos, 366 marks Bela’s first project as a director, an addition to the many hats she wears on top of being an actress and screenwriter.
The story revolves around the character of June (played by Bela herself) as she explores the facets of love and loss. The team wrapped up shooting in February 2021, months before Bela decided to officially move to London. Nowadays, she's back in town to promote the film, a special milestone in her 14-year career.
