It's safe to say that Aubrey Miles won't be forgetting her ongoing vacation at Boracay anytime soon. Aside from celebrating her 42nd birthday there, the island has also served as the place where she and long-time beau, Troy Montero, finally got engaged!
Aubrey tells Preview that Troy popped the question right before they went on a kayak ride yesterday, March 22. Her initial reaction was to actually say "thank you" before uttering the much-awaited "yes."
She admits that she "always [told] him [she was] not ready yet," and that the idea of getting married was always an open discussion. After almost two decades of being together, the actress states that "this year is the perfect time."
Troy got in touch with J's Diamond Jewelry to acquire the perfect engagement rings for the two of them. The jewelers tell us that, "He requested for a really simple but elegant ring with thin bands to highlight the diamond and with a timeless design that will never be outdated."
The 1-carat piece is made of 18k white gold and has six prongs surrounding the "flawless" diamond at the center. It took about eight weeks to complete and polish, and had a price tag of P1.2 million.
Having said that, we really couldn't blame Aubrey for immediately posing with her new rock. She was just beaming with joy!
