Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, celebrating the usual way isn’t an option. But fear not for there are still ways you can enjoy hallow's eve to the fullest without breaking any IATF GCQ rules.

Horror movie night

What encapsulates the spirit of Halloween more than purposely making your blood run cold! If you’re the type of person who spent every Halloween as a blur of music, drinks, and flashing lights, rest assured there are still GCQ approved options for you. 

Day of the Dead by The Island

Join the Island’s Dia De Los Muertas virtual party hosted by Pao Avila featuring sets from DJ Katsy Lee and DJ Nix Damn P! The show will start at 10 p.m. on October 30 which you can catch on The Palace’s YouTube and Facebook pages. Additionally, all proceeds will go to the Philippine Army General Hospital. Here’s to supporting a good cause!

Haunting at the Palace by XYLO

The Island isn’t the only Palace venue that’s having a halloween bash. XYLO’s virtual ball, Haunting at the Palace, will feature Dara Carmina, DJ Euric, and Kat DJ. The event is on Halloween night itself (October 31) and starts at 10 p.m.. Just like the previous event all proceeds will be donated to the Philippine Army General Hospital.

Let Halloween Be-Gin by Manila House

ARC Gin and Manila House teamed up for this one! On October 29 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., hosted by Bambina Olivares, Anton San Diego, with a follow-along gin tasting with Mathew Westfall, and cocktail-making class by David Ong. Tickets cost P2200 for members of Manila House and P2400 for non-members, inclusive of a charcuterie board from Manila House and three ARC Cocktails.

Trick or Treat from your own home!

Could you imagine being a kid right now? Having looked forward to trick or treat in your favorite superhero costume only for it to get canceled? As much sympathy as I have for them, I have twice as much for their parents! If you have kids or younger siblings you need to entertain this halloween here’s an idea: Hide candy around the house and make them search for it or have everyone dress up in costume and visit all the rooms in your home to ask for some!

At the end of the day, it’s all about spending time with the people you love. Since having a halloween party is out of bounds, keep it in the family. Make it as fun as possible: decorate, dress up, drink, and enjoy!
