Horror junkies, heads up! Netflix is releasing a new original K-drama and it’s perfectly up your alley! Starring Love Alarm actor Song Kang, the terrifying thriller series titled Sweet Home is based off a webtoon of the same name by Kim Kan-bi and Hwang Young-chan, and contrary to its name, it's far from a "sweet" watch. If its oddly disturbing teaser trailer is any indication, then it looks like we’re in for one spine-chilling ride.

The Plot of Sweet Home
This 10-episode VFX-filled thriller follows Cha Hyeon-su (Song Kang), a reclusive high school student who’s left traumatized after losing his entire family to a tragic accident. Orphaned and alone, he’s forced to move into an old apartment complex called the Green Home. His hopes for a quiet stay is quickly upended when he realizes that the building is plagued by a malicious entity that turns its residents into monsters as reflected by their internal desires. Caught up in a real-life nightmare, Hyeon-su must now fight for his and his neighbors' survival.
The Cast and Crew
Joining Song Kang is an ensemble cast of characters including Lee Jin Uk (Voice), Lee Si Young (No Mercy), Lee Do Hyun (18 Again), Kim Nam Hee (Mr. Sunshine), Go Min Si (Love Alarm), Park Kyu Young (Romance Is a Bonus Book), and Go Youn-Jung (He Is Psychometric).
The Release Date
As per Netflix, Sweet Home is set to make its global debut on the streaming site this December 18, 2020.
