If you've been around Instagram for a while, you might have noticed content creators and regular folk alike post their fancy-schmancy table spreads and aesthetic grazing boxes from Aperitif. But just in case you've been living under a rock, here's the lowdown: They're actually an online shop that started with artistic charcuterie sets but has since expanded to include mains, desserts, pastries, cakes, and now, their own café. It opened on September 4 at SM Megamall Building A, Café Aperitif is the newest experience in the brand's growing portfolio.
What can we expect from this new SM Megamall Cafe?
Aperitif's first full-fledged café gave patrons a new look into the brand. Expanding from a purely online concept, this 13-seater café will offer a new product line and a dine-in space perfect for meet-ups and shopping breaks. Of course, in true Aperitif fashion, we're expecting the space to look as Instagrammable as their curated grazing boxes.
Expect gossip-filled afternoons with your friends while you sip premium Italian coffee (with beans from Sicily, no less!) and munch on cakes, Italian sandwiches, gelato, and of course, their signature graze boxes. They also have an array of Crème Brûlée cups in flavors like Ube (P120/cup) that is sure to be a hit with the Filipino palate.
It opened in the ever-busy and bustling SM Megamall, Aperitif owner Karla Zulueta hopes that the increased foot traffic in Megamall will drive more Filipinos to try their products and be proud of this homegrown brand.
Aperitif took Manila's Instagram scene by storm on August 2016 when sisters Karla Zulueta and Kim Zulueta discovered the art of grazing. Some of their signature products include the Graze Box, Grazing Table, their patented Cheese and Cold Cuts Graze Box, and Sweet Box. The business expanded in 2017 under Z Global Gourmet Food Inc., which included different product lines boasting not just gourmet food but sophisticated yet affordable event stations and gift boxes.
Cafe Aperitif is at 3/F SM Megamall Building A. For more information, visit Aperitif's Facebook Page.
