There's no question that Seo Ye Ji is one of the hottest K-drama actresses today with her latest hit series It’s Okay to Not Be Okay. As unabashed die-hard fans of the show, we’ve basically tracked down everything there is to know about her complex character, Ko Mun-yeong—from her clothes, her makeup, her hairstyles, to her exact phone. So imagine our surprise when we caught wind of photos claiming that the 30-year-old celebrity visited our very own Boracay Island between 2016 and 2017. Yup, you heard that right—Seo Ye Ji may have stepped on Filipino territory and breathed our air. *cue screams*
The photos show a baby-faced Ye Ji touring the white sand beachfront, talking to locals, and checking out souvenir finds.
Below, Ye Ji is photographed chatting with some kids. This gives us some intel on what her beach OOTDs are like, too: She prefers monochromes! Honestly, her super laidback look is making us want to wear all black in our next beach getaway.
Ye Ji takes advantage of every photo opportunity and poses by a coconut tree and also on a sailboat. She wears a gray shirt with navy trousers and jeans—an unexpected outfit to wear at an island, but she’s Seo Ye Ji and she can get away with it.
According to the blog Chingu to the World, Seo Ye Ji’s trip to Boracay reporedly took place between 2016 or 2017. Whether or not that’s true, what we can confirm is how ageless she actually is. Even her svelte body hasn’t changed a bit—just look at her unbelievably small waist!
One photo that caused much speculation is that of her posing in front of what looks like a local carinderia, well-stocked with familiar street food and snacks. It even has bananas and coconuts in front, which make it so easy to believe that this was taken in the Philippines.
We have yet to find out if these claims are 100% true, and if they are, we’ll be looking for a time machine so we could visit Boracay in 2016. For now, we’ll stay tuned to It’s Okay to Not Be Okay and wait for the next episodes!
