Actress Sam Pinto and basketball player Anthony Semerad’s engagement is finally Instagram official!
The actress announced the news on her IG account while showing off her diamond ring. She captioned the post, “FOR REAL NOW. It’s true when they say you don’t hear anything when they start proposing. Lol. Here’s to forever with you! @anthonysemerad”
News of Anthony supposedly putting a ring on it had been floating around since last July after attaching a diamond ring emoji to a photo that he’d put up of him and Sam while on vacation,.“True love is about growing as a couple, learning about each other, and never giving up on each other @sampinto,” he added sweetly to his post.
Sam confirmed the speculations months later in an interview with Pep.ph, revealing that her boyfriend had proposed during a trip to his hometown in Australia back in August. According to Sam, Anthony had popped the question during a meticulously planned gondola ride in Gold Coast. “Ang dami pa niya sinasabi, pero wala, hindi ko na naririnig nung nakita ko,” Sam told Pep.ph.
Accordingly, Sam and Anthony plan on tying the knot sometime in 2022 to make way for the wedding of Anthony’s twin, David Semerad, next year.
