If you’ve been following TVN’s It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, then actor Oh Jung Se has probably already won you over with his heartwarming portrayal of Moon Sang-tae, a.k.a. Kim Soo Hyun’s autistic older brother on the show. It’s not just his impeccable acting chops that sets him apart though. As it turns out, the 43-year-old actor also has a heart of gold!

Just a week ago Jung Se spent a whole day with a fan at Lotte World, a well-known amusement park in Seoul, South Korea. Photos of the two on their outing spread across social media after Bae Boum Jun, the lucky fan, posted on his Instagram account. Now you might think of this as just another fan-service moment, but what makes it even more precious is how Jung Se even went as his character on the show!

You see, Boum Jun, a South Korean cellist, has been diagnosed with a mental health condition similar to Moon Sang-tae. He first came across Sang-tae while watching the show with his sister, Bae Ji Soo, at home. His younger sister writes, “When my brother saw the scene in which Sang Tae cries and screams at Ko Mun-yeong’s fan meeting event, he related deeply with Sang-tae and said that he needs to protect Sang-tae and make Sang-tae feel better.”

Upon seeing the episode, Boum Jun kept begging his sister to meet Sang-tae in person. He even started writing down all the activities that he wanted to do with the character. Sensing his enthusiasm, Ji Soo took a leap of faith and reached out to Jung Se. Thankfully, the actor immediately said yes!

The posts below show the pair walking around and enjoying the park. Look at them even holding hands! Too cute!

If you haven’t been moved to tears yet, Ji Soo revealed that Jung Se even walked and talked like his character so Boum Jun could enjoy every second with him. “Oh Jung Se was Moon Sang-tae the whole time he was with my brother. He paid attention to the smallest detail and focused on my brother’s needs,” Ji Soo wrote in another IG post. "As soon as my brother met Sang-tae, the two of them went on all the amusement rides. Every moment, he was a friend to my brother. He kept talking and listening to my brother.”

Before parting ways, the actor gifted Boum Jun with a stuffed green dinosaur to remember him by. “We’ll meet again! The dinosaur’s name? It’s Good Dino. Good Dino. Good Dino!” the cellist wrote on his on Instagram page.
