K-drama fans, we've got a new tandem to look forward to! The worlds of Kingdom and Nevertheless are colliding with Ju Ji Hoon and Han So Hee starring in a new movie together.
News of the project first came out a few weeks ago when the two stars reportedly received an offer for the same movie. Luckily for fans of So Hee and Ji Hoon, it didn't take long for both actors to jump onboard Gentleman, the film's working title, as revealed by Korean news media.
A crime drama, Gentleman will find Ji Hoon as Ji Hyun-soo, a private investigator whose life is upended after he's framed for murder in an ongoing major case. Determined to clear his name, he teams up with So Hee who plays Kim Hwa-jin, a prosecutor vital to Hyun-soo's vindication.
To be directed by Kim Kyung Won (The Artist: Reborn), the film will start producion in August and is slated for a May 2022 release.
So Hee is currently starring in the Netflix and JTBC college romance drama Nevertheless, alongside Song Kang. Meanwhile, Ji Hoon's upcoming action thriller series with Jun Ji Hyun, titled Cliffhanger, is set to premiere in October of this year.
