Gordon Ramsay Is Opening Two New Restaurants in Cebu

Heads up, gastronomes! After his much-buzzed-about visit to Manila, world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay is bringing not one, but two of his celebrated restaurant concepts to the sunny shores of Cebu. 

Following the success of his Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill at Newport World Resorts in Manila, the celebrity chef is expanding his culinary empire to the south of the Philippines, choosing Mactan Newtown in Lapu-Lapu City as the setting for his latest ventures.

Set to open side by side in the middle of this year, Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips and Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay will mark their very first locations in the Philippines. These new spots promise to deliver a casual yet high-quality dining experience infused with Gordon’s signature flair. Whether visitors are craving the crisp comfort of British fish and chips or a juicy, over-the-top burger, these new eateries aim to become must-visit destinations for both locals and tourists alike.

Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips, which already has locations in Washington, D.C., Las Vegas, New York City, Orlando, and Reno, will offer a relaxed, over-the-counter dining experience focused on variations of the classic British dish. Alongside the traditional fish and chips, the menu will include items like Lobster & Shrimp, Dirty Chips, and handcrafted milkshakes. It’s a straightforward spot for a casual meal, whether stopping by for lunch or an afternoon treat.

Meanwhile, Street Burger by Gordon Ramsay, which has expanded across various locations in the United Kingdom, will offer a casual take on the American diner, with a menu that includes the Idiot Burger, the G.F.C. (Gordon’s Fried Chicken) Burger, and the O.G.R. Burger. The focus is on hearty dishes served in an unfussy setting.

Both restaurants will open in Mactan Newtown, a 30-hectare township in Lapu-Lapu City that combines residential, business, and leisure spaces. Developed by Megaworld, the area is home to hotels, residential towers, and office buildings, and will soon feature the Mactan Expo, a stand-alone convention center currently in development.
