Your Facebook app has just gotten a makeover.
Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg recently announced a new update to the social media app, which features a revamped Feeds tab and a brand new Home.
What's on Feeds?
In the new “Feeds,” Facebook users will be able to scroll through a more self-curated tab, with posts mainly created by their friends, groups, and followed pages, all in chronological order. According to Meta’s announcement post, the new tab is one of the “most requested features for Facebook.”
What's on Home?
On the other hand, the “Home” tab will house algorithm-suggested posts for content discovery, which also includes recommended Reels and Stories. Think along the lines of TikTok’s #FYP or For You Page.
The update has begun rolling out globally on both iOS and Android users, although its placement might differ. By default, iPhone users will see the Feeds tab at the bottom of the app, while Android users will spot it on top. The shortcut bars, however, will change depending on what you use the most—but you can always customize their placement.
