The Making of Georgina Wilson's Homecoming Cover with Preview

Whether you knew her in the '90s as the radiant Pond's girl who rendered a bunch of rowdy guys speechless or as one of the brilliant co-founders of Sunnies today, there's no denying that Georgina Wilson is the quintessential Preview girl.

With her distinct body of work, fronting covers, campaigns, and even a season of Asia's Next Top Model, her beauty and wit have captivated audiences across all generations. Needless to say, shooting her for our January 2026 cover easily became a core memory for everyone involved.

Shot at the Miramar Hotel in Roxas Boulevard, the creative direction Bacs Arcebal envisioned for the January 2026 cover had a retro, cinematic feel. With each layout capturing different scenes and personas, the mood was a nod to her former Preview covers, each with its own unique concept that she brought to life.

"The vibe was kind of nostalgic, but George always manages to bring this energy to the shoot that makes everything look so in the moment and forward-looking," Preview editor-in-chief Marj Ramos-Clemente observes.

Including photographer duo Cenon at Mav and the rest of Preview's editorial team, everyone was excited to work with Georgina.

"There's just a certain presence from Georgina Wilson that makes you feel starstruck," Marj shares, "This cover, I would say—not just for me personally, not just for the team, but for everyone who's ever been a fan of Preview—this was really a homecoming."

Dressed in full Gucci looks that were styled by Paulina Singh and Jethro Barrietta of Stylized Studio, Georgina effortlessly channeled the spirit of "sprezzatura"—the Italian notion of an effortless sense of grace as she posed in front of the lens.

For glam, makeup artist Anthea Bueno referred to the beauty direction that Preview prepared as "very Georgina." The clean and contoured beauty looks were piqued with contrasting lips, a nude for the first layout and a vibrant red for the latter. Nelly Tolentino also transitioned the hair changes from vintage coiffed waves to a sleek bun with blunt bangs.
