In 2005, Georgina Wilson was tapped by then-editorial assistant Liz Uy to pose for a Preview editorial. She booked her first cover only a couple of months later. From that year to today, she has slipped into different characters with the skill and ease of a professional who knows what she’s capable of.

As she returns to the cover of Preview for January 2026—in full Gucci, no less—she proves to be more than the many titles she holds: mother, model, entrepreneur, it girl. Whether you look at the cover from two decades ago or the one that was just released recently, you will be able to tell that Georgina’s most defining character is, simply, herself.

This reflects beyond the photographs and the videos, trickling down into how the people around her perceive her. A testament to this is Anthea Bueno, the respected makeup artist behind Georgina’s glam for the January 2026 cover, who is also her frequent collaborator.

In between glam changes, Preview chats with Anthea to know more about the beauty looks and to see the cover star through her lens.

Beauty Look 1

All Eyes on Georgina

“Very Georgina” was Anthea’s first impression upon seeing the shoot’s beauty direction.

The first look is characterized by monochromatic tones of brown, with her defined eyes drawing attention. “It's the type of look that would really suit her features, and it's the type of look that I always see her wear.” Anthea shared that she wasn’t surprised upon seeing “snatched eyes” and chiseled contours, as they’re simply Georgina’s vibe.

By this time, the team was taking a short break before gearing up for the next layouts. Anthea had already done the first look, which had the cateyes as its key point. “I went for a really matte, smoked-out eye,” which, Anthea noted, was different from the usual shimmers or the wet texture that she would lean towards when doing similar looks. By doing so, the look became “very reminiscent of a ‘90s vibe,” mixed with a dash of edginess.

This was embodied through the hairstyle as well, which Nelly Tolentino characterized through a subtle blowout, neatly tucked sides, and a curl adorning her forehead.

While this particular look was undoubtedly up the cover star’s alley, it sits outside of the makeup artist’s comfort zone.

Anthea shared that the other talented makeup artists in Georgina’s usual rotation have a distinct style that complements the sharp and lifted look, mentioning Robbie Piñera—who is also the go-to of Georgina’s fellow it girl and Preview muse, Anne Curtis. It being far from her usual only makes Anthea more excited, saying, “I enjoy doing looks na hindi ko usually nagagawa, kasi na cha-challenge ako.”

Beauty Look 2

A Major Classic

Anthea admitted that, while Georgina is “super bait,” she can’t help but feel “scared” or shy at times—for good reason, of course. One of them is because Georgina is a beauty girl herself, being one of the pillars of the globally-recognized homegrown brand, Sunnies Face. And another would be her firm understanding of what looks she likes best. Despite this, the cover star still embodies an openness for her glam team to take charge. If anything, this pushes creatives like Anthea to hit the nail on the head—and that, she did.

And just like in her everyday life, Georgina can handle a lot when it comes to beauty.

Anthea shared that she usually applies light makeup on a lot of her clients, but it’s different when Georgina is the one seated in her makeup chair. Being an ideal muse, Georgina also often communicates that she enjoys the actual process of having her makeup done, tagging it as a “very therapeutic” time for her. Anthea recalls, “She would always say ‘I can handle it.’” In fact, Georgina would often ask for “more.”

In preparation for the upcoming look change, Anthea gushed that she was looking forward to doing a red lip. “Whenever I want it to be a striking look, I would usually gravitate towards a red lip talaga.” She added that the classic look actually contains so much room for artists to explore and practice creativity. “There are so many interpretations of how you do a classic red lip, so it's fun for me.”

Anthea revealed that she was planning to use Sunnies Face’s A Major Holiday Lip Kit, a limited-edition release. It stars Major, the brand’s signature cool-toned red, in three iconic formulas—the modern matte Fluffmatte, the plumping gloss stick Glidegloss, and the dual-ended liner Lip Tracer. Just like what the makeup artist said, the shade can be played around in different ways.

To avoid a flat look, she recommends adding in a little bit of eyeshadow.  “You can do a burgundy to a slightly darker brown. Usually, when you do that, it adds dimension.” Anthea opted to use a matte brown eyeshadow for the corners and the contours of the lips. With tunnel vision, she emphasized that adding this depth would make the glam look great in photos. Paired with a low bun and side-swept micro bangs by Nelly, Georgina looked nothing short of a major classic.
