Surely, you’ve seen it already—a lady in a t-shirt and jeans, with a distinct flower crown on her head, spelling out letters and numbers using, well, herself. Many have jumped in on the trend, from industry giants like Robinson’s Department Store and non-profit organizations like the Angat Buhay Foundation.

The trending font seemingly took over social media platforms overnight. Chances are, you're either happy for Kween Yasmin or genuinely wondering who she is. If you find yourself part of the latter, read on.
Who Is Kween Yasmin?
Yasmin Marie Asistido, fondly dubbed as Kween Yasmin, rose to fame during the pandemic. She would often share clips of her singing, with not as much skill as she had confidence. Yasmin grew up engaging in music as a way to grieve her mother, who unfortunately passed away when the internet personality was still little. And now, to thousands of people, “Asia’s Songbook” is another one of her many monikers.
The “All Purpose Kween” reappears now and again in the limelight for a variety of reasons. There’s the iconic bird’s-eye view of her peace sign. There was also a time when she wasn’t able to enter her very own meet-and-greet on Zoom because it had already reached the maximum number of participants. Further embodying what it means to be a jill-of-all-trades, her spoken word poetry is also well-loved by netizens. Of course, we must mention that she also made a special appearance in SB19’s Dungka! music video.

Why Does Kween Yasmin Have Her Own Font?
Yasmin now has a design package on Canva, an online graphic design platform. You would find an array of visual elements or “ey-setts,” such as her font (yes, the one you’ve been seeing everywhere), her personalized emoji “Kweemojis,” and photographs of her holding a blank banner under “Kween of Signs.” Stock photos are available as well, with various settings such as a wet market, a bedroom, and a dining set-up where she takes a bite of her iconic mango graham among other snacks.
The assets are available for Canva Pro users only. Simply click the “Elements” tab, search for “All Purpose Kween,” and let your creativity run free.
There’s no known answer as to why exactly this collaboration took place. She is the All Purpose Kween, though, so maybe that reason is enough.
