Filmmaker Aline Brosh McKenna wanted the sequel to really be a collaborative one, which is why she reached out to the cast if they had any requests. On the podcast, Anne shared that hers "was a big one."

"She (Aline) had originated Andy's backstory as being different. She thought that Andy stayed in New York and had a family. And I thought that Andy had gone out in the world and had adventures and hadn't actually done that yet," said Anne.

Anne continued and talked about having a long conversation regarding the change, which Aline also took interest in. Laura was quick to resonate with the narrative, "And for so many of us who watched the movie as teenagers and are now, 20 years later, adults who might not be married and have kids, like myself, you see her having adventures and you're like... that's what I did. I never thought I'd be where Andy Sachs is 20 years later."

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is out in Philippine cinemas on April 29.
