Life is tough, but there's nothing a well-crafted sweet treat to brighten your spirits. Pair great desserts with stunning interiors, and you've got yourself quite the power combo! This new spot has got just that: Check out Dylan Patisserie, a new European-style pastry shop in Makati who serves up cakes and other desserts in a ravishing space that'll totally make you swoon.
This new pastry and cake shop in Makati has our heart:
Dylan Patisserie's flagship boutique boasts a picturesque look that's part-elegant, part-whimsical. They go for rich brown tones for the floors (which bear a fun square pattern), counters, and walls, and bring in touches of gold that emphasize their refined side—but also add in pops of color with striped chairs in varying shades of blue, and the presence of gift boxes in different hues displayed on the shelves. Of course, you'll also find their signature desserts and bakes displayed on the counters and all around the shops, practically calling out your name.

Heed that call, and you'll be rewarded: Dylan Patisserie's got quite the impressive range of confections that combine classic dessert forms with more contemporary flavors. On the distinctly European-esque end of the spectrum is the De Hazelnut Praline (P1,990), which combines a velvety chocolate hazelnut mousse with a soft biscuit sponge and crispy hazelnut praline for textural contrast. They also make versions of popular desserts like the Blueberry Cheesecake (P1,690), which stands out from other versions with its more urbane presentation and addition of flaked almonds around sides for a subtle buttery crunch.

Looking for a lighter bite? Try one of their fruitier numbers, like the tropical-esque Raspberry Mango Opera (P1,990). Dylan Patisserie also occasionally brings in Filipino flavors in the mix, as in the Ube Dulce de Leche (P920), which pairs pillowy layers of an ube sponge cake with a lush dulce de leche cream! And yup, they take orders of customized cakes as well.

Beyond cakes, they also craft up European-style biscuits and cookies that include the savory-sweet, shortbread-esque Parmesan Cheese Cookies (P390/small pack, P690/large pack), crisp-chewy Chocolate Dulce De Leche Sandwich Cookies (P320), and nutty Florentine Cookies (P390).

Alternatively, you can go for their handcrafted chocolate pralines and bonbons, macarons, and more. Even if you can't drop by their space, you can also order for delivery through their website, or via GrabFood.

Dylan Patisserie is at 116 Jupiter Road, Makati City. For delivery orders, visit their website or find Dylan Patisserie on GrabFood. For more information, check out their Facebook page.
