Another Filipina beauty queen is getting the immortality treatment! In an announcement made on Madame Tussauds Singapore's social media pages, it was revealed that Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray will have her very own wax figure—and the wax museum released the big news on her birthday, no less!
Catriona's scheduled to first unveil the figure in Manila, before it's shipped out to tour other countries.
Their official post reads: "Happy birthday, Catriona Gray! On this special day of hers, we have a special announcement to make! Her image will be immortalized in Madame Tussauds and unveiling will take place in her home country and her figure will be touring to Singapore, Bangkok and Hong Kong, respectively."
According to a statement by MTSG, Catriona's figure is set to don a replica of her iconic Mayon Volcano-inspired lava gown, to be crafted by its original designer Mak Tumang.
After Pia Wurtzbach's history-making feat as the first Filipino wax figure in Madame Tussads Hong Kong, Catriona continues to follow in her footsteps as the first Pinay to be immortalized in Madame Tussauds' Singapore branch. Meanwhile, boxing champion Manny Pacquiao is also set to have his own wax figure in MTHK this year.
