It’s no secret that Anne Curtis-Smith is a fangirl of all things Korean–be it K-pop music or K-dramas. Remember when her Instagram feed basically turned into a Goblin fan account? Or when she completely freaked out over actor Park Bo Gum comparing her to his co-star Song Hye Kyo? Literally every fangirl’s dream!
Call it pure luck, but the actress once again racked up another enviable fangirl milestone while enjoying Holiday Land Festival 2019 at Paradise City in Incheon, South Korea. She literally found herself in the same area as Blackpink's Jennie Kim, which fans were quick to point out when the actress posted a photo on her Instagram.
Someone even put Jennie and Anne’s IG stories side-by-side to prove that they were in the same vicinity.
Eventually, Anne confirmed everyone’s speculations on Twitter. She writes, “Sa mga nag-tweet sa akin, yes, nakita ko sya. Same kami ng area sa festival. Nasa likod ko sya pero nagpaka-cool ako.” She also used the hashtag #strugglewasreal. LOL!
Despite the obvious fangirl opportunity of a lifetime, Anne made sure to keep her cool and decided to let the K-pop star be, without asking for a photo. She was, of course, praised for the act of restraint, with her fellow Blinks thanking her for respecting Jennie’s privacy. Something a lot of fans should really learn themselves.
