Oh no! It looks like Crash Landing on You star Son Ye-Jin was recently rushed to the hospital due to overexertion brought upon by the drama's busy filming schedule, as reported by Korean news site Soompi. Accordingly, in the middle of filming, the overworked actress had to be brought to the emergency room.
That said, fans can rest easy now because the lead actress is reportedly okay! While supporters of the hit Netflix K-drama rose up in worry over news that Ye-Jin had been rushed to the ER, sources from her agency were quick to reassure fans that her condition was not serious and that she had already been treated accordingly.
“Son Ye-Jin visited the emergency room due to built-up fatigue from filming her drama. She has received the necessary treatment and has returned to the drama set. It was not a serious illness, she was feeling fatigued from filming,” the statement read. The agency’s representative also explained that Ye-Jin was brought to the ER simply because regular hospital services are closed during holidays.
Subsequently, a staff member from Crash Landing on You confirmed that Ye-Jin was indeed taken to the hospital after “feeling under the weather,” but has since returned to set for filming.
Ye-Jin stars alongside Hyun Bin in Crash Landing on You. The TV series follows the star-crossed love story between a South Korean heiress and the elite North Korean military solider that saves her after she accidentally ends up in their country.
Rest well, Ye-Jin!
