1. Four Sisters and a Wedding (2013)

This comedy-drama features a powerhouse cast in Toni Gonzaga, Bea Alonzo, Angel Locsin, and Shaina Magdayao, who collectively try to stop the wedding of their younger brother, played by Enchong Dee. In the process of doing so, the siblings unearth personal issues that impact the entire family.
2. Ang Tanging Ina (2003)

Led by the dynamic comedy duo of Ai-Ai delas Alas and Eugene Domingo, this comedy tells the story of a widow with 12 children. Because of its success, three sequels were created, much to the delight of the fans.
3. Anak (2000)

This family drama is about a mother who works in Hong Kong as a domestic helper and deals with the sacrifice of not seeing her children grow up because of the need to provide a better future for them. The film stars Vilma Santos and Claudine Barretto.
4. Oro, Plata, Mata (1982)

This historical film explores how two wealthy families deal with the changes that happened because of World War II. The story is set in Negros and stars the late Cherie Gil, Sandy Andolong, and Liza Lorena.
5. Markova: Comfort Gay (2000)

This coming-of-age drama film is actually a biography that's loosely based on the life of Walter Dempster Jr., the last surviving "comfort gay" from World War II. The late Dolphy played the adult Markova, while his sons Eric Quizon and Epy Quizon played the younger Markovas.
6. Bulaklak sa City Jail (1984)

Starring the late Nora Aunor, Gina Alajar, and Celia Rodriguez, this prison drama film tells the story of women in the city jail. It is based on the book of the same name by Lualhati Bautista.
7. Sarah... Ang Munting Prinsesa (1995)

Based on Frances Hodgson Burnett's children novel A Little Princess, this Filipino adaptation stars Camille Prats, Angelica Panganiban, and Jean Garcia. It's a classic film because of its moral lessons on friendship and forgiveness.
8. Sana Maulit Muli (1995)

This romantic drama stars Lea Salonga and Aga Muhlach, who are two lovers navigating the difficulties of being in a long-distance relationship, which causes them to drift apart. Can love defy the odds?
9. Bata, Bata... Paano Ka Ginawa? (1998)

This drama stars Vilma Santos, who plays the role of Lea. Lea is a women's rights advocate and a mother of two children (played by Carlo Aquino and Serena Dalrymple), who have different fathers. The story takes a turn when the fathers suddenly want custody of their children.
10. Tanging Yaman (2000)

This religious drama is led by the late Gloria Romero, whose three children (played by the late Johnny Delgado, Edu Manzano, and Dina Bonnevie) reunite to solve a property-related issue. The film won 19 awards out of its 21 nominations.
