When we heard that Happy Skin was collaborating with Kathryn Bernardo on a holiday makeup collection, we wondered how the actress would fuse her love for easy, everyday makeup with the maximalist flair of holiday glam. The turnout was quite the surprise—the lineup includes two different kinds of eyeshadows, deep lip color options, and more. It's still the kind of simple, wearable cosmetics that Generation Happy Skin started with, but with a slight oomph that most of us strive for in our holiday makeup anyway.

"As far as blush sticks go, I like how this one is small and retractable. I applied mine with a synthetic brush instead of swiping the blush directly on my cheek, but even this way, I was able to achieve a flattering flush without exerting much effort to blend. The packaging was a bit flimsy for this technique as the blush kept being pushed down whenever I dipped my brush in, though for the price, I guess that's to be expected. That said, if you love deep, warm terracotta blushes like I do, then the shade Toasted is a lovely everyday color.
"I've tried the Ultra Matte Lippies from Kath's collection before and it's truly a no-fuss formula. The retractable crayon is creamy, easy to apply, and your lips won't feel dry at the end of the day. I would say that it has more of a satin finish than a matte one, but I guess that helps maintain the non-drying feel. The shade Whimsy, a baked clay hue, might be my new favorite from the range because it's vivid enough to give me color but not too dark to become difficult to maintain. "I like that the blush stick came in a small, compact size. It's perfect to keep in my daily bag and it's easy enough to pack when I'm traveling. In terms of application, this blush stick is so uncomplicated to use and basically idiot-proof, especially since I'm a noob when it comes to using brushes and sponges. I can easily swipe the product on my fingertips and dab the color onto my cheeks without needing brushes to perfect it. Dab and go—convenient for girls who are always running late! The formula is lightweight and gave my pale skin a healthy and natural-looking flush. I'm not one to usually like warm pink shades for my blush but the shade Pinched has me convinced to make the switch.
"I usually prefer glossy lips over matte, but I was sold when Nicole told me that the Generation Happy Skin ones aren't drying. In fact, the formula leans more toward a creamy texture and leaves a natural shine to my lips. I used Charm, which is basically the kind of mauve hue I can keep using everyday. When it comes to its staying power, the lipstick doesn't leave a harsh line when I eat. I just press my lips together to blend the color. 3. Pretty Easy Everyday Liquid Eyeshadow in Glitzy
"My usual issues with liquid eyeshadows are they either set before I even have the chance to blend it out properly, or the applicator puts on too much product that the liquid becomes clumpy. Fortunately, I didn't experience any of these with Happy Skin's new formula. The liquid glided on smoothly over my eyelids, leaving just enough product to leave a wash of color and giving me enough time to blend out any harsh edges before it set. Speaking of blending, it blends like a dream and is very buildable. It doesn't cake at all! "I've heard a lot of good things about the Kath x Happy Skin collection, especially the lip tint, so I was excited to try it. When I first swiped the tint on my lips, I noticed how sheer it was. To be honest, I was worried that it might be too pigmented like other tints I had but this tint is actually quite a buildable one you can't overapply. Its watery consistency is also great because it doesn't cling to any texture on my lips. I love that I can also use it on my cheeks!
