Naturals by Watsons Gets a Refresh

Watsons hosted a three-day global event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from April 7 to 9 to relaunch its in-house brand, Naturals by Watsons. The brand isn’t just offering a more sustainable option with 100% recycled ocean-bound plastic packaging; it also aims to deliver better products overall by making its line more natural and effective.

So, how exactly does Naturals by Watsons live up to its name and vision? For starters, each product is crafted from over 95% naturally derived ingredients—up from an average of over 90% before the revamp, as it pushed the envelope further. What’s even more impressive is how it’s managed to keep its environmental impact in check while doing so. Through ethical sourcing, no biosphere is harmed by over-harvesting from scarce populations. Its certified organic ingredients are sourced where they’re endemic: coffee from Africa, olives from Italy, argan from Morocco, aloe vera from Mexico, and rose from France, to name a few.

Nature’s wonders for nourishing skin and hair got an extra boost from the skin actives they’re infused with. The formulation is enhanced by niacinamide for brightening, hyaluronic acid for moisturizing, retinol for anti-aging, and ceramide for strengthening the skin barrier.

Key beauty insiders from the Philippines, Thailand, and Malaysia were able to try out the new and improved products, and hear all about the love and care that went on from the research and development, all the way to the sourcing and packaging from Watsons COO of Health & Beauty Asia Caryn Loh and Head of Watsons Own Brand - Personal Care and Project Irene Tsang during the trip. The immersive wellness event that included a trip to Naturals by Watsons Pop-Up Cafè and an upcycling workshop comes ahead of its official market relaunch.
