The random lipstick touch-up is the one K-drama cliché we'll never get sick of seeing. Sure, it's always a blatant product placement, but it's the sheer lack of subtlety that sprinkles a little more fun in it. Besides, we don't mind an ad if it tells us the exact product the leading lady is sporting on her pout.
Case in point: This scene in Lee Sung-Kyung's recently-concluded drama, Dr. Romantic 2, where her character Cha Eun-Jae does a last-minute hair and makeup fix. She whips out a lipstick from her pouch, and we're given a flawless product shot (of course) before she swipes it on. The result? A flawless red gradient lip that took a grand total of five seconds to make.
After doing some digging, we found out that the lipstick in this scene is Laneige's Layering Lip Bar—a retractable lipstick that has six colors in one tube to create the perfect ombré. Sung-Kyung used the shade Jealousy Red, as revealed by the brand itself on social media.
