Unless you've been living under a rock, then for sure you've heard that Kris Aquino is the newest ambassador of local beauty brand Ever Bilena. Since being revealed as the face of the brand, her Instagram feed's been brimming with her top product recommendations. Naturally, we just had to try them out for ourselves—after all, the Queen of All Media does seem to know beauty like the back of her hand!
See our thoughts (and swatches!) below:

1. Matte Two-Way Cake

At her contract signing event, Kris raved about how this powder in Light Ivory kept her fresh and matte during a whole-day shoot. She used this product for touch-ups and claimed that it works well even on her sensitive skin!

As a setting powder, this definitely does the job. We do find that you should use a light hand with it, preferably swiping it on with a fluffy brush, in order to avoid looking cakey. Those with oily skin will love this for setting the T-zone since it really does control oil well throughout the day. The only downside is that it only comes in three shades, with very limited options especially for morena skin tones.
2. Silky Brow Liner

EB ADVANCE Silky Brow Liner in Chocolate, P110, Department Stores
Kris mentioned how impressed she was with Ever Bilena's eyebrow products, so it was the one recommendation we couldn't skip. We weren't really sure what her favorite was exactly, so we decided on a traditional brow pencil—the Silky Brow Liner. The shade in Chocolate was very pigmented, perfect for outling the brows. It was relatively easy to blend as well, but once it sets, it's set. The pencil left a faint mark even after we tried erasing it with a makeup cleansing wipe.

We also tried the Matic Brow Liner (P180), which is a retractable kind of brow pencil. It was waxier compared to the Silky Brow Liner and less pigmented, so we think it would be a better option for those with sparse brows.
3. Liquid Lipstick in Serena
Serena is from Ever Bilena's creamy matte liquid lipstick line. The shade is a mauve pink with a creamy texture that dries to a matte finish. On fair to light skin, it works as an MLBB (my lips but better) shade and registers as a rosy mauve. On medium skin, it still passes as a nude color, but the shade's purple undertones are more obvious.

4. Liquid Lipstick in Thalia
Thalia is another shade from the creamy liquid lipstick line, which is a muted, brick red with warm undertones. Those with yellow and olive undertones will absolutely love this shade since it's neither too bright nor too dark.

True to its claims, EB's liquid lipsticks really are creamy, and they dry down to a non-drying matte finish. The pigmentation of both Serena and Thalia weren't streaky at all, and it didn't take much effort to fill in our lips entirely with the doe-foot applicator. The color doesn't transfer when it's fully set either, and the creamy texture makes it easy to reapply. Simply pressing your lips together is enough to even out the color.
5. LTD Liquid Lipstick in Red Carpet

EVER BILENA LTD Liquid Lipstick in Red Carpet, P185, SM Beauty
After doing a full review of the LTD collection, we were already well aware as to why Kris would love this liquid lipstick. Red Carpet is a wearable fire engine red, which is arguably her signature lip color. Although it does match the formula of Serena and Thalia in longevity, this shade doesn't deliver full pigment in one swipe. With only one layer, you can achieve a sheer red tint, which is a good thing if you're after a naturally-tinted lip.

The verdict? We were more than impressed with the liquid lipsticks. They were matte without being overly drying and delivered when it came to pigmentation. The Silky Brow Liner gets a thumbs up from us as well, as we rarely find a pigmented brow pencil that doesn't give us blocky brows. Meanwhile, the Two-Way Cake is most recommended for those with fair and oily skin, and we look forward to having more shades for everyone to try!
