Behind the scenes of Preview’s Rewriting the Menswear Code, we caught up with Will Ashley, River Joseph, and Josh Ford about their outlooks on beauty and wellness.
Aside from fitness and acting, fragrance is one of the topics that the three stars of The Secrets of Hotel 88 enthusiastically engaged in.

Will revealed his preference for a signature scent that’s masculine, but not overpowering. Meanwhile, River shared that his everyday fragrance is something he considers cool and versatile.
Curious about what Josh looks for? Read on.
How Josh Ford Stays Fresh—With or Without Perfume
“Super casual” is how Josh describes his interest in perfumes. “I don’t actually have a signature fragrance, but I do love smelling fresh.”
Different from his co-stars, Josh doesn’t actually feel an encompassing need to reach for a scent. He admits that, while he can’t leave the house without a few spritzes, he doesn’t mind forgoing the fragrance when he’s surrounded by his family or close friends. Rather, he opts to shift his attention to bodycare, such as lotions and deodorant. These are sometimes enough to help him feel and stay fresh, he claims.
Work and events are a whole ‘nother conversation. “I think scent is very important, lalo na sa mga taong madalas lumabas,” he shares. “‘Pag nasa labas, it sticks to who you are.”
The Exact Go-To Fragrance of Josh Ford
For good impressions and long-lasting confidence, especially during events, Josh’s “go-to” scent is Urban Hero by Jimmy Choo.
“What I love about the scent is that it stays long. Hindi siya nawawala—kahit two to three sprays lang, nandun pa rin.” He compares this with his personality, lightheartedly saying that it’s always there, too.

Urban Hero is a woody aromatic perfume that seamlessly fits Josh’s preference for a “fresh” scent. It has vibrant undertones of precious lemon caviar, lusciously combining with the warmth of black pepper. The sensuality of rosewood, together with the sophistication of vetiver, is then revealed at its heart.
The scent reveals its elegant base of grey amber as it dries down. Although it has a gourmand opening, it finishes with an animalistic note of leather.
The Jimmy Choo Urban Hero retails for P7,600.
